The Information Technology Service Management Forum (itSMF) was founded in the UK in 1991. itSMF Deutschland e.V. was established in 2001.
Our overriding mission as an independent association is to be a competent and trusted point of contact for IT companies and user organizations in relation to IT service management.
The association’s objectives include in particular improving and further developing the de-facto standard ITIL® (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) in order to enable enterprises to use and implement professional IT service management. As an independent, non-commercial association, itSMF Deutschland e.V. pursues the overarching goal of developing and spreading the latest knowledge and methods in the field of IT service management.
